Minister Haidar: Syria encounters systematic terrorism, funded by Gulf countries

Damascus, SANA- State Minister for National Reconciliation Affairs Ali Haidar affirmed on Monday the firm strategic stance of Syria in the face of terrorism in parallel with the efforts exerted to consolidate the local reconciliation ahead of national dialogue.

During a meeting with a delegation of the Arab Popular Front for Unity, Haidar said that Syria confronts systematic terrorism, funded by the Gulf countries and a clear collusion with Western intelligence apparatus.

The minister referred to the important the role of local reconciliations in preserving the identity of the resistance and strengthening the unity of the Syrian people and territorial integrity and finding a political solution of the crisis in the country.

In turn, members of the visiting delegation affirmed their solidarity with Syrian people and army against terrorism.

In a press statement following the meeting, Haidar said that the track of local reconciliation has progressed during the past months, particularly in the countryside of Damascus, Daraa, Hasaka and Quneitra, adding that work in reconciliation will be extended to involve other areas.

He revealed that there is a plan to achieve reconciliations in the countryside of Homs after accomplishing al-Waer file.
