Mufti Hassoun meets delegation of Syrian community in Italy

Damascus, SANA- Grand Mufti of the Republic Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun called on the Syrian expatriates to convey the reality of events in Syria to countries of residence.

Meeting a delegation of the Syrian community in Italy, headed by Dr.Jamal Abu Abbas, on Monday, Hassoun pointed out to the important role of the expatriates in supporting their homeland in all fields, particularly in the reconstruction process in Syria and ease the impacts of aggression on it.

For his part, Abu Abbas expressed the expatriates’ keenness to provide and enhance the steadfastness of the Syrian people and Syrian Arab Army to defeat the aggression on Syria, adding that the delegation’s visit aims to refute what some misleading media tries to market about events in the country.

The delegation comprises a number of Syrian and Italian academic figures and Syrian businessmen.
