Hanoi, SANA – Swimmer Saleh Mohammad of the Syrian national swimming team won the bronze medal in the 10 km swimming event at the 5th Asian Beach Games currently held in Vietnam.
Mohammad finished in 2 hour, 6 minutes and 20 seconds, following a Kazakhstani swimmer who came first and a Chinese swimmer who won the second place.
The Syrian athlete is scheduled to take part in the 5 km race on Sunday.
Along with Mohammad, 11 other Syrian athletes are participating in the championship, which will last until October 3th.
