Moscow, SANA-The Russian Defense Ministry denied on Monday media reports alleging that the Russian aircraft had launched a deadly airstrike on a market in Deir Ezzor province.
Reuters reported earlier on Monday that the Russian air force had launched airstrikes on the town of Ashara in Deir Ezzor countryside.
“The aircraft from the Russian air group in Syria did not carry out combat missions in the vicinity of Ashara in the Deir Ezzor province,” the Russian ministry’s spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said in a statement.
“It is simply another round of rumors whose dissemination may only harm the business reputation of the British news agency,” Konashenkov emphasized.
