Minister of Agriculture, FAO representative discuss enhancing agricultural cooperation

Damascus, SANA- Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform. Dr. Fayez al-Mikdad discussed with the Resident Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Damascus Tony al-Atal cooperation relations in the field of agriculture and the phases reached by the implemented projects and the projects proposed for the next stage.

Minister al-Mikdad stressed that the ministry has a strategy to develop the agricultural sector and is open to all proposals submitted by all partners for its advancement and implementation.

In turn, al-Atal pointed out that FAO will continue to support and make the utmost efforts to meet the ministry’s aspirations in new projects to assist farmers in Syria.

He stressed the importance of continuous coordination and consultation with the ministry at all stages of project implementation to achieve agricultural development in the next stage.
