Delivery of relief aid to several areas continues – SARC Director

Damascus, SANA – Director of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) Marwan Abdullah affirmed that it is scheduled to deliver relief aid to a number of areas in the country.

Abdullah told SANA Tuesday night that the aid will enter Madaya, al-Zabadani and al-Moaddamyeh towns in Damascus Countryside as well as Kafarya and al-Fouaa towns in Idleb countryside tomorrow (Wednesday).

Earlier during Feb. and January, Damascus Countryside Governorate in cooperation with the SARC delivered 12,000 food baskets to the towns of al-Moaddamyeh and al-Tal as relief convoys made their way to Madaya and al-Zabadani under the supervision of the UN and SARC during the past month in coincidence with delivering aid to the towns of Kafarya and al-Fouaa, which have been under Jaish alFateh terrorists’ siege for two years.

Last Thursday, SARC Branch in Deir-Ezzor started delivering 37.5 tons of food out of 90 tons that will consecutively reach Deir-Ezzor city besieged by the terrorist organization of Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

Earlier Tuesday, over 8200 food packages distributed to terrorism-affected people in Yarmouk camp, Hasaka and Lattakia countryside.
