Provinces, SANA – The army added another victory to a series of achievements made over the past few weeks, establishing on Friday control over Atman town in the southern Daraa province and other areas in Aleppo.
Daraa
Army units, in cooperation with the popular defense groups, restored security and stability to Atman town, 4 km north of Daraa city in the southern Daraa province, a military source told SANA.
All the remaining hideouts of the terrorist organizations in the town were eliminated, with many terrorists getting killed, while the rest fled, the source said.
It noted that the army’s engineering units have started combing the town to dismantle explosive devices left behind by the terrorists.
Aleppo
In the same context, the army units, in cooperation with the popular defense group, restored security and stability to Rityan and Mair towns in the northern countryside of Aleppo province.
Hama
70 terrorists were killed and a number of vehicles and an ammunition depot were destroyed in army sorties against positions for Jaish al-Fateh terrorists in the northern countryside of Hama province.
Hama
The Syrian Air Force launched sorties against the terrorists’ dens in the countryside of Hama and Idleb.
Dens and gatherings of “Jabhat al-Nusra”, “Islamic Union of Ahrara al-Sham” and “Jaish al-Nassr” were destroyed during the sorties in al-Tamaniaa, al-Latamina, Marit Harma, al-Tah, al-Habit, Skik and Kafr Zita in the northern countryside of Hama.
More than 70 terrorists were killed, dozens were injured and their vehicles and ammunition depots were destroyed.
Idleb
In Idleb countryside, a field source confirmed the death of at least 6 terrorists and the destruction of a hideout belonging to the so called “Jund al-Aqsa” in Saraqib city to the southeast of Idleb city.
Deir Ezzor
Army units thwarted an attack by ISIS terrorists on the Military Airport in Deir Ezzor, a military source told SANA.
The source said that violent clashes erupted between the army units stationed in the airport and terrorists that infiltrated its perimeter, and that the clashes resulted in destroying two armored vehicles rigged with explosives and in killing many terrorists, including the “emir” of ISIS in the area who is known as Mansour al-Turki aka Abu al-Watin.
The source added that an army unit destroyed a tunnel used by ISIS terrorists in al-Mattar al-Qadim neighborhood at the outskirts of Deir Ezzor city, confirming that scores of terrorists who were in the tunnel were killed in the process.
Homs
Army units carried out concentrated operations targeting concentrations of terrorists from ISIS in Tuloul al-Soud, Tarr al-Kharoubeh, and Ramila 80 km southeast of Homs city and in the surroundings of Shaer oil fields and near the quarries in Palmyra countryside.
A military source told SANA that the operations resulted in destroying two armored vehicles along with everything on board, in addition to quantities of weapons and munitions and a number of terrorists.
The source also said that army operations in the town of Talbiseh 13 km north of Homs city resulted in destroying bases and fortified positions for Jabhat al-Nusra and terrorist groups affiliated with it, killing and injuring a number of terrorists in the process.
