Interior Minister discusses with Pakistani ambassador in Damascus bilateral relations

Damascus, SANA- Interior Minister Mohammad al-Shaar discussed with Pakistani ambassador in Damascus Syed Athar Hussain Bukhari on Monday the bilateral relations between Syria and Pakistan and the means to develop them.

Al-Shaar pointed out that what is happening in Syria is a targeting of the state’s components, adding that terrorist organizations which are supported by Arab and regional countries seek to fragment the region.

The minister affirmed that Syria’s leadership and people supported by Syria’s friends are combating terrorism and will triumph.

In turn, Bukhari expressed Pakistan’s readiness to cooperate and exchange information with Syria, noting that terrorism is hitting the both countries which requires enhancing efforts to combat it.

He added that his country’s stance towards the crisis in Syria is firm, adding that any solution for the crisis must be chosen by the Syrians and preserves their country’s unity.
