Damascus, SANA-The 8th Tourist Investment Market forum opened its activities on Wednesday under the motto “A pioneering investment for a promising future” with the participation of businessmen and many economic sectors.
The forum, which is organized by Tourism Ministry, aims at finding new job opportunities for the Syrian youth and presents 47 investment projects to restore brilliance to tourism sector and help reconstruct the country.
“The forum during this stage affirms the good Will of the Syrians and their determination to live in peace,” Minister of Tourism Bishr Yazaji said in a speech at the opening ceremony.
He added the event creates a promising atmosphere for the businessmen to help them invest their capitals in the tourist investments, asserting that tourism movement didn’t stop during the last two years, particularly the internal and religious ones.
“87 tourist facilities were established during 2015 with an estimated cost at over 4 billion SYP and 213 other facilities were rehabilitated with 9 billion SYP cost,” the Minister said.
Businessmen, investors and participants at the forum all affirmed they are committed to the process of reconstruction, having great ambitions in the field of investment and new projects in spite of the current difficult conditions.
