Lavrov: Unifying efforts against terrorism, adopting binding resolution on Vienna agreements

Moscow, SANA – Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov said that adopting a resolution by the UN Security Council on Vienna agreements regarding Syria would make it of binding nature.

During a press conference with Foreign Minister of Bahrain Khalid Al Khalifa in Moscow on Wednesday, Lavrov stressed that Russia has repeatedly expressed readiness to convene in New York or any other place as long as the meeting would be devoted to implementing Vienna agreements.

Lavrov called for unifying efforts against terrorism and supporting the UN in its efforts to form a “unified” delegation of the “Syrian opposition” to hold dialogue with the Syrian government.

He also highlighted the need to make a list of the terrorist organizations in Syria.
