Damascus, SANA- President Bashar al-Assad on Friday received a cable of congratulation from his Iranian counterpart, Hassan Rouhani, on the occasion of winning the presidential election.
“I extend to your excellency the sincere and blessing congratulations on the occasion of your winning the election and re-electing you as a President of the Syrian Arab Republic” the cable said, adding that the Syrian people, through their widespread participation and decisive voting, have made a significant progress towards Syria’s future and prosperity.
President Rouhani added.” I am totally confident that we will witness during this new stage of political period in Syria increasing cooperation between the two countries”
“I pray to Almighty God good health and success to you and happiness and pride to the Syrian resistant people” President Rouhani concluded.
