Prime Minister inspects construction of residential tower building, inaugurates power substation

Damascus, SANA – Prime Minister Imad Khamis on Friday inspected work on the first stage of constructing a residential tower building in al-Dimas area in Damascus Countryside.

Premier Khamis said this project employs the slip forming method in construction, which is being employed for the first time by the Housing Establishment, allowing the construction of 16 floors in 16 days, noting that this important achievement has been realized using local resources and skills.

Khamis also inaugurated a mobile power substation in the Mazzeh 86 area in Damascus.

Electricity Minister Mohammad Zuhair Kharboutli said this substation, which cost SYP 3 billion, was put into service to reduce pressure and overloads on the power grid in the area, and that it should resolve recurring outages outside rationing hours.
