Syria strongly condemns terrorist attacks against two churches in Egypt

Damascus, SANA – Syria strongly condemned the terrorist acts that took place in Egypt and claimed the lives of ten of civilian people and injured others who were marking Palm Sunday.

An official source at the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry stressed on Sunday that Syria condemns in the strongest terms the terrorist acts that targeted Saint George Church in Tanta and Saint Mark’s Church in Alexandria in Egypt.

“Syria voices its condolences to the families of the victims and affirms that the terrorist groups that commit these crimes against innocent people in the brotherly Arab Republic of Egypt are the same terrorist groups that target citizens in the Syrian Arab
Republic under the support of the US, some Gulf states, Turkey and Israel,” the source said.
