A source close to Syrian Arab Republic delegation in Geneva: the delegation is satisfied over the course of talks

Geneva, SANA- A source close to the delegation of Syrian Arab Republic in Geneva said on Wednesday that the delegation is satisfied over the course of talks and it has submitted a number of amendments and notes on the paper handed over by the special envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura yesterday entitled “basic principles for the political solution in the Syrian Arab Republic.”

The source added that it asked de Mistura to inform delegations of “oppositions” about the amended paper and to get their attitude from it, affirming that during the last two days, there were deep and fruitful talks between the delegation and de Mistura on the agenda of talks which was crowned by agreement on the agenda that includes four baskets which are terrorism, the rule, constitution and elections.

It said the delegation of Syrian Arab Republic has raised the issue of statements by some sides and their conveying to inaccurate speeches for de Mistura regarding description of the course of talks, stressing that such behavior doesn’t come in the interest of the international envoy’s credibility and aims at misleading the public opinion to reach the final goal, represented by having Geneva a failure, calling upon him to control such statements.
