Damascus, May 9 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa issued on Saturday four decrees appointing new governors for the provinces of Quneitra, Homs, Latakia and Deir Ezzor as part of ongoing administrative changes.
Under Decree No. 102 of 2026, Ghassan Elias al-Sayyed Ahmad was appointed governor of Quneitra.
Decree No. 103 of 2026 appointed Murhaf Khaled al-Naasan as governor of Homs.
Under Decree No. 104 of 2026, Ahmad Ali Mustafa was appointed governor of Latakia.
President al-Sharaa also issued Decree No. 105 of 2026 appointing Ziad Fawaz al-Ayesh as governor of Deir Ezzor.
