Erdogan reiterates his country's commitment to coordinating with the Syrian government

Ankara, SANA – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has affirmed that his country will continue to work and coordinate with the Syrian government and international partners on regional issues.

“We continue to work with the Syrian government and our international partners, and I believe that the page of terrorism will be turned there as well, and brotherhood will prevail,” Anadolu Agency quoted Erdogan as saying in a speech during a consultative meeting of the ruling Justice and Development Party in the capital, Ankara, on Saturday.

Erdogan added: “The dawn of a great and strong Turkey is dawning today as the scourge of terrorism enters its final stage,” referring to the abandonment of their weapons by a number of members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), noting at the same time that Turkey will become stronger and more self-confident than before with the end of terrorism.

The Turkish President also stressed that his country is closely following all types of initiatives that would stop the bloodshed and mothers’ tears, alleviate the pain, and strengthen brotherhood.
