Damascus, SANA-The Minister of Finance, Mr. Muhammad Yusr Bernieh, discussed Wednesday, with the Chairman of the Central Authority for Supervision and Inspection, Engineer Amer al-Ali, ways to enhance joint cooperation between the Ministry and the Authority, in a way that contributes to developing the performance of financial institutions and improving their work and the services they provide.
During the meeting, Minister Bernieh stressed the keenness to fully cooperate with the Authority in a way that serves the interest of the work, and the importance of the Authority’s supervisory role in identifying errors and correcting them, calling for the Authority to also assume an advisory role by providing advice to public authorities, to avoid the possibility of falling into Errors or problems that may appear during work.
Engineer al-Ali emphasized that the Authority’s goal in its oversight work is not to insult or defame any party, but rather to identify errors, correct defects, enhance strengths, and support institutions in their work.
He also underlined the need to focus on enhancing integrity and transparency between the authority and public bodies, pointing out what the commission is doing to reform the regulatory system in the new Syria, according to a well-thought-out action plan،
