Damascus, SANA-The Anti-Narcotics Department, in cooperation with the Internal Security Directorate in al-Safira, Aleppo countryside, seized a large quantity of hashish intended for smuggling to a European country.
“the Anti-Narcotics Department, in cooperation with the Internal Security Directorate in al-Safira, was able to seize an estimated 800 kilograms of hashish, hidden inside barrels used to transport food supplies, in preparation for smuggling it to a European country.”The Ministry of Interior said in a statement on Saturday.
The Ministry added that the members of the cell involved in the attempted hashish smuggling were arrested and referred to the competent judiciary for necessary legal action.
