BeijingوSANA-China expressed its support for Syria’s adoption of comprehensive domestic and foreign policies to restore stability and achieve development in the country.
“China has always opposed illegal and unilateral sanctions, we sympathize with the Syrian people who are suffering from difficulties, and support Syria in pursuing peaceful and comprehensive internal and external policies to restore stability and development, which is also in line with the common expectations of the international community.”China’s official Global Times newspaper quoted Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian as saying at a press conference on Thursday, commenting on US President Donald Trump’s decision to lift sanctions on Syria.
