Transport Minister discusses with Chinese delegation cooperation in transport field

Damascus, SANA-Transport Minister Dr. Yarub Badr discussed with a delegation of businessmen and representatives of Chinese investment companies opportunities for cooperation and coordination in the field of transportation, and to raise it to the level of the strategic relations that bind the two countries.

The meeting between the two sides, held at the ministry building on Thursday, addressed promising investments in the field of transportation in Syria, with a focus on railways, cars, electric vehicles, and freight transport, in addition to the possibility of benefiting from Chinese expertise in training and qualifying Syrian human cadres to serve the interests of the two friendly countries.

Dr. Badr underscored the importance of enhancing cooperation, which would contribute to activating and stimulating transportation, increasing trade and economic exchange, and stimulating the establishment of joint investment projects.

 He also praised the Chinese people’s support for the Syrian people in all the circumstances that Syria has gone through.

The delegation expressed its readiness to expand cooperation and intensify efforts to develop relations and encourage joint investments, especially in the field of transportation.
