Damascus, SANA- Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister in the caretaker government, Dr. Abdel Moneim Abdel Hafez discussed on Tuesday with Chargé d’Affaires of the Pakistani Embassy in Damascus, Mr. Umer Hayat Khan cooperation relations in the field of higher education and scientific research between the two countries.
During the meeting, which was held at the ministry building, Minister Abdel Hafez pointed out to the historical relations between the two countries and the necessity of working to reactivate the memoranda of understanding between the two sides.
He called for increasing exchange grants, encouraging scientific visits between the universities of the two countries, and reviewing the scientific and research programs approved in them.
In turn, Hayat Khan affirmed his country’s readiness to provide assistance in all fields, cooperate in the field of higher education and scientific research, and conclude joint agreements between Pakistani universities and their Syrian counterparts, particularly, in the field of information technology techniques, devices, equipment and expertise that universities need.
