Saudi forces intercept six drones and a ballistic missile

Riyadh, Mar. 7 (SANA) The official spokesperson for the Saudi Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday that Saudi forces intercepted and destroyed six drones over The Rub’ al Khal ( Empty Quarter ) desert that were heading toward the Shaybah oil field.

The spokesperson also announced the interception and destruction of a ballistic missile launched toward Prince Sultan Air Base.

Iranian attacks using missiles and drones have been increasing toward Gulf countries, targeting infrastructure, facilities, civilian and diplomatic buildings, in addition to energy installations.
