Hasakah, Oct. 2 (SANA) Residents of Hasakah city held a public rally on Friday calling for stronger state institutions and enhanced security across all areas of the province.
SANA’s correspondent reported that the rally began in the Ghweiran neighborhood and proceeded toward the main square, with participants chanting for the deployment of internal security forces throughout the province to ensure security and stability.
The demonstrators also called for an end to violations and for accelerating steps to integrate SDF into state institutions.
Internal security forces were deployed around the gathering areas and along a number of main roads as the rally took place, with the deployment aimed at maintaining security, according to the correspondent.
The rally coincided with a motorcade of cars and motorcycles, with participants carrying the Syrian flag.
Earlier, Hasakah Deputy Governor Ahmad al-Hilali said in a previous press interview that the announcement of the SDF’s dissolution on Aug. 25 was an important step toward accelerating the integration process.
He noted that administrative procedures, data verification and an assessment of the province’s needs were still underway.
