Damascus, Oct. 2 (SANA) Representatives of local companies participating in the “360 Food Syria” exhibition at the Damascus Fairgrounds said the event provides an opportunity to open new channels for Syrian products to reach foreign markets by showcasing local products and industries and establishing direct contacts with traders and investors, helping boost exports and expand production.
Expanding Export Opportunities
Ahmad Orabi, financial manager at Bun al-Hadara Company, told SANA on Friday that the exhibition provides companies with an opportunity to connect with businesspeople and investors and open broader avenues for exporting Syrian products.
He said the exhibition had attracted investors and traders from several countries, including Iraq, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Palestine.

Orabi noted that specialized exhibitions help strengthen the presence of Syrian products in foreign markets by allowing companies to showcase their products and build new business relationships, which can contribute to increased production and greater economic activity.
Showcasing Syrian Products
Safwan Qayrouz, manager of Qayrouz Company for Olive Oil Production, stressed the importance of the exhibition in expanding access to Arab and international markets and promoting Syrian products, particularly olive oil.
He said Syrian olive oil has specifications and quality that give it strong potential in foreign markets.

Qayrouz said the exhibition had drawn interest from investors from Arab countries, stressing the importance of continuing to organize such events because they provide direct opportunities to establish contacts, showcase Syrian products and open new channels to foreign markets, benefiting both the commercial and industrial sectors.
Platform Connecting Traders and Manufacturers
Yasser Arafat, manager of Maria Food Appetizers Company, said participation in exhibitions is important because they provide a platform that brings traders and manufacturers together and allows companies to showcase their products.
He said the event had attracted investors and traders from both inside and outside Syria.
Arafat noted that the benefits of participating in exhibitions are not limited to signing contracts during the event itself. Participation begins by introducing companies and their products and establishing relationships with traders and investors that could later lead to new cooperation opportunities and commercial agreements.

The 360 Food Syria food industries exhibition opened on Thursday at the Damascus Fairgrounds, with 120 local, Arab and international companies from 18 countries taking part.
