Damascus, Oct. 1 (SANA) Syria’s Federation of Chambers of Commerce discussed investment opportunities and potential partnerships with Chinese investors as part of efforts to attract foreign companies, the federation said.
Federation head Alaa al-Ali met the investors to explore opportunities in the Syrian market, joint investment projects and closer ties between the two countries’ business communities, according to a statement posted on Telegram on Wednesday.
Al-Ali said the federation was encouraging foreign companies to enter the Syrian market by introducing them to available opportunities and connecting them with local businesses.
Separately, Mohammad Zakaria Lababidi, chargé d’affaires at Syria’s embassy in China, met Lin Honghong, deputy director-general of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), on Sept. 25 to discuss bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic field.
