Syrian–Chinese Business Council signs MoU with Suzhou Group on industrial cooperation

Beijing, Dec.6 (SANA) The Syrian–Chinese Business Council signed on Tuesday a Memorandum of Understanding with China’s “Suzhou Land Group,” a leading company in smart industrial city management. The step aims to enhance industrial cooperation and transfer advanced international expertise to Syria.

The agreement, signed in Suzhou city, China, seeks to bring pioneering experiences in factory and industrial city management and integrate them with artificial intelligence technologies to support the development of Syria’s industrial sector. It also includes launching a twinning program between Syrian and Chinese industrial cities.

The Council Chairman, Fadi Ali al-Muhaymid, said the MoU represents a practical step toward building strategic partnerships that contribute to knowledge transfer, localizing industry, and creating a productive investment environment that serves Syria’s economic future.

He added that the agreement covers planning and managing major industrial cities in Syria, providing advanced solutions using modern technologies in administration and operations, as well as exchanging delegations and visits between Syrian and Chinese industrialists and investors.

The Council affirmed the immediate beginning in implementing the MoU’s provisions, in light of Syria’s economic recovery phase, opening real opportunities to support reconstruction projects and boost industrial takeoff.

Suzhou Land Group is considered as one of China’s most prominent integrated industrial groups, with extensive experience in developing and operating industrial cities and zones. It hosts major German industrial companies operating in China within its complexes and has a broad record of Sino-European cooperation and industrial knowledge transfer.
