Beirut, Sept. 29 (SANA) A Syrian citizen was killed and 13 others were injured when a van veered off the road and plunged into a valley in Ghalboun, in Lebanon’s Jbeil district, the Lebanese Civil Defense said.
Lebanon’s National News Agency cited a Civil Defense statement Tuesday as saying the 13 injured people were Syrian nationals.
Rescue teams used cutting equipment and ropes to retrieve the victims from the valley. They gave the injured first aid and took them to several hospitals for treatment, the statement said.
