Homs, Aug. 18 (SANA) One child was killed and a girl injured in a traffic accident Monday evening on Western Housing Road in Homs.
The Homs Directorate of Emergency and Disaster Management said on its official page that Syrian Civil Defense teams responded to the scene and provided first aid to the injured girl before transferring her to the University Hospital for treatment. Civilians had retrieved the child’s body before the teams arrived.
The directorate said its teams also inspected the accident scene, secured the area and confirmed that there were no other injuries.
Traffic accidents continue to occur frequently on roads in and around Homs, prompting calls for compliance with traffic rules and caution, particularly on roads experiencing heavy traffic, to ensure the safety of road users.
