Damascus, July 8 (SANA) Four people were killed and 31 others injured early Wednesday when a bus carrying Lebanese pilgrims overturned on the Damascus–Daraa highway near the town of Khirbet Ghazaleh in southern Syria.


Director of Daraa National Hospital, Dr. Nizar Rashdan, told SANA that all casualties were taken to the hospital, where emergency medical teams were mobilized to provide treatment. Two critically injured patients were transferred to a hospital in Damascus for specialized care, while the remaining injured continue to receive treatment.
Emergency teams secured the accident site, transported the victims and restored traffic on the highway linking Damascus with the Jordanian border.
Later, Syrian Health Minister Musab Al-Ali, accompanied by Lebanese Minister of Public Works and Transport Fayez Rasamny and Lebanon’s Ambassador to Syria, Henri Kastoun, visited the injured at Damascus Hospital, where they were receiving treatment following the crash.
