Damascus, June 28 (SANA) One person was killed and 21 others were injured in fires and traffic accidents across Syria over the past 24 hours, the Syrian Civil Defense said on Sunday.
In a statement posted on its Telegram channel, the Civil Defense said its teams responded to 225 fires, including 28 in fields and agricultural crops. The remaining incidents involved homes, shops, grass, trees, garbage and electrical wires.
The fires resulted in one death and three injuries, including two firefighters, in addition to material damage, the statement said.
Civil Defense teams also responded to 19 traffic accidents that injured 18 people. The injured received first aid before being transferred to hospitals for further treatment, while crews secured the accident sites and cleared their aftermath.
On Friday, Civil Defense teams responded to 195 fires and traffic accidents across Syria that left 15 people injured.
