Sweida, June 1 (SANA) Sweida Governorate has announced transportation and accommodation arrangements for students sitting Syria’s national secondary and basic education examinations, following a decision to hold exams for Sweida students at centers in Damascus and Damascus countryside.
In a statement issued on Monday, the governorate said transportation services would be provided to help students reach their designated examination centers, with logistical and security measures in place to facilitate safe travel.
Authorities said accommodation and related services would also be available for students choosing to stay in Damascus areas including Jaramana, Sahnaya and Al-Ashrafiyah during the examination period.
The governorate called on students to complete registration through a designated online form, saying the information would help officials assess demand and organize transportation and accommodation services efficiently.
The measures follow a decision by Syria’s Ministry of Education in May designating Damascus and Damascus countryside as examination locations for students from Sweida Governorate taking the 2025–2026 basic and secondary education certificate examinations.
Officials said the arrangements were intended to ensure educational continuity and safeguard students’ ability to sit for their examinations under appropriate conditions.
The initiative is being implemented in coordination with relevant authorities and partner organizations to support students throughout the examination period.
