Aleppo, June 12 (SANA) Syrian internal security forces have arrested 20 people involved in attacks targeting security checkpoints and facilities in and around the village of al-Awniyah in the Ain al-Arab area of eastern Aleppo province.

According to a statement by the Internal Security Command on their Telegram channel on Friday, security forces restored calm and stability to the area following the attacks and continue efforts to track down and apprehend other suspects who remain at large.

The command said those detained would be referred to the relevant judicial authorities.

It stressed that any attack against state institutions or actions carried out outside the framework of the law constitute an attack against the Syrian state.

The statement added that security authorities will deal firmly with any violations and will take all necessary measures to protect state institutions and ensure the safety and security of citizens.
