Interior Minister: Tadmor prison massacre remains one of Syria's darkest chapters
Interior Minister Anas Khattab

Damascus, June 27 (SANA) Syria’s Interior Minister Anas Khattab said Saturday that the 46th anniversary of the Tadmor prison massacre serves as a reminder of one of the darkest periods of oppression and brutality in Syria‘s history, pledging that the era of impunity has come to an end.

In a post on X, Khattab said the government’s message to survivors, the families of victims, and all Syrians is that those responsible for past crimes will be held accountable.

“We will continue working with determination to pursue all perpetrators and bring them before the courts, so that this dark chapter is closed forever and Syria can move forward in strengthening security and building a stable state based on institutions,” he said.
