Tartous, June 1 (SANA) Interior Minister, Anas Khattab, and Tartous Governor, Ahmad al-Shami, visited Monday the family of martyr Abdul Rahman Yasin to offer their condolences following the revelation of the fate of his children, who were killed by the deposed regime. Both officials affirmed they stand by the family in their grief.
The Interior Minister said that the relevant authorities are continuing investigations and taking all necessary measures to uncover the full circumstances of the case and ensure justice is served and those responsible are held to the harshest accountability.
The visit follows a similar one made Saturday by the head of the National Commission for the Missing Persons (NCMP), Mohammad Rida Jalkhi, Deputy Interior Minister Major General Abdul Qader al-Tahhan, and a Tartous governorate delegation, who visited the family of Abdul Rahman Yasin — husband of Dr. Rania al-Abbasi — after the fate of the children, who were killed by the deposed regime, was confirmed.
During the Saturday’s visit, President Ahmad al-Sharaa called the family directly to offer his personal condolences.
