Damascus, May 10 (SANA) Five civilians suffered injuries Sunday when an empty bus exploded in Damascus’s al-Wuroud neighborhood, prompting a swift response from emergency teams.
Civil Defense units rushed to the scene, cleared debris, secured the area for public safety, and transported the wounded to al-Mowasat Hospital, according to Amer Zarifa, operations commander for the Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management in the Damascus Countryside Governorate.
At the hospital, Dr. Obi Nayouf, a resident physician, reported that the emergency department treated the five patients. Two sustained significant shrapnel wounds without direct blast injuries, while the others had minor injuries. Medical teams performed all necessary exams and tests.
