Quneitra, April. 21 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces detained a resident during a raid in the village of Taranja in the northern countryside of Quneitra province on Tuesday morning, according to a SANA reporter.
The forces entered the village, searched several homes and detained one of the residents before withdrawing towards the town of Jabata al-Khashab. The individual was taken to an unknown location.
The incident follows the detention of two children in the village of Bariqa in Quneitra province on Monday, according to the same source.
In a separate development, another Israeli unit entered the village of Abidin in the Yarmouk Basin in the western countryside of Daraa province on Tuesday morning. The unit searched a house before withdrawing towards the outskirts of Koya, SANA reporter in Daraa said.
Syrian authorities have repeatedly called for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Syrian territory, stating that measures taken in southern Syria have no legal basis under international law. They have urged the international community to condemn these actions and press for a full withdrawal.
