Homs, April 19 (SANA) Six people were killed and several others injured in two separate traffic accidents in Syria’s Homs province over the past 48 hours, according to the Civil Defense.
In the latest incident on Sunday, three people a man, a woman, and a child died after a truck collided with two vehicles on the Homs-Damascus highway. The truck was reported to be violating traffic regulations at the time of the crash.
Emergency teams recovered the victims, transported the injured to Homs University Hospital, extinguished a fire that broke out in the truck, and secured the site.
A day earlier, another accident at the Dar al-Kabira junction in northern Homs left three people dead and a woman injured.
Authorities continue to respond to road accidents and urge adherence to traffic safety measures.
