Amman, April 12 (SANA) Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani arrived in Jordan on Sunday to take part in the second session of the Higher Coordination Council between the two countries.
Al-Shaibani, heading a ministerial delegation, was received by Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi.
The council was established under a memorandum of understanding signed by the two sides on May 20, 2025, aimed at enhancing coordination and cooperation between Syria and Jordan.
The agreement followed Safadi’s visit to Damascus on April 17, 2025, during which the two countries agreed to form the council.
