An earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale struck the Syrian-Turkish border region.
A statement by the National Center for Seismology (NCS) said that ‘’the earthquake, recorded at 3:35 p.m. occurred at a depth of 13 km kilometers west of the city of Antakya and is considered as an “aftershock.”
Earlier this month, at 1:27 AM on November 2, the center’s monitoring stations detected a “triggered” seismic event at a depth of 8.8 kilometers west of Yabroud, northeast of Damascus. No material damage or casualties were reported in either incident.
