Damascus, April 9 (SANA) — Syria’s Chief of the General Staff Maj. Gen. Ali al-Nassan discussed with Chief of Staff of the Turkish Army Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu a number of issues of mutual concern during a phone call.
According to a statement by the Syrian Ministry of Defense on its Telegram channel on Thursday, the two sides reviewed current regional developments and emphasized the importance of maintaining coordination and exchanging views in a way that supports stability.
The call comes as part of ongoing engagement between the two countries. On February 8, Defense Minister Maj. Gen. Murhaf Abu Qasra received Turkey’s ambassador to Damascus, Nuh Yılmaz, and an accompanying delegation, where they discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation in the interests of both countries.
