Quneitra, June 3 (SANA) Israeli forces carried out separate incursions on Wednesday into the northern and southern countryside of Syria’s Quneitra province.
SANA reporter in the area said an Israeli force consisting of five military vehicles entered the Ain al-Qadi farm area in the southern countryside, where they searched several houses before withdrawing from the area.
In a separate incident, Israeli forces accompanied by several military vehicles entered the village of Al-Samdaniyah Al-Sharqiyah in the northern countryside and established a temporary checkpoint before withdrawing.
On Tuesday, Israeli forces also entered the village of Ain Zivan in the southern countryside of Quneitra, where they detained a young man for several hours before releasing him.
Israel has continued military activities in southern Syria, including incursions, raids, arrests, land bulldozing operations and shelling.Those actions constitute violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
Syria has repeatedly called for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from its territory, stressing that all Israeli measures in southern Syria are null and void under international law. It has also urged the international community to assume its responsibilities and press for a full withdrawal from the area.
