Quneitra, Mar.29 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces detained on Sunday a young man and two children while they were grazing livestock in the countryside of Quneitra.

SANA’s correspondent in Quneitra reported that occupation forces temporarily arrested two children for several hours from the village of al-Asha while they were grazing livestock near Tal Ahmar in the western part of the southern Quneitra countryside. The forces also took into custody a young man from the village of Sida al-Hanout for several hours while he was herding livestock west of the village.

The correspondent added that occupation forces had, on Saturday, detained five young men west of al-Rafid village in the southern countryside of the province, where they were subjected to field interrogation before being later released.

In a related development, around 14 Israeli military vehicles advanced along the road linking Jbata al-Khashab town and Ofania village at al-Hurriya junction in northern Quneitra countryside. The forces set up a temporary checkpoint, where they inspected passers-by and vehicles, and carried out raids on several civilian homes in the area.

Israel continues its violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through incursions into southern Syria and by targeting civilians via raids, arrests, and land bulldozing.

Syria has repeatedly called for the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its territory, stressing that all measures taken by the occupation in southern Syria are null and void and have no legal effect under international law. Damascus also urges the international community to assume its responsibilities, deter such practices, and ensure Israel’s full withdrawal from southern Syria.
