Damascus, March 9 (SANA) – Defense Minister, Major General Murhaf Abu Qasra, announced Monday the launching of a comprehensive evaluation process for officers of the Syrian Arab Army, following the completion of integrating all military formations into the army’s structure.
In a post on the X platform, Abu Qasra said the step marks the beginning of a new organizational and military phase aimed at developing the army according to modern military and scientific standards.
He added that the evaluation process will serve as a basis for assigning responsibilities and ranks in accordance with professional military criteria.
In a relevant context, an evaluation committee, headed by Chief of the General Staff, Major General Ali al-Naasan and Chief of Operations, Brigadier General Hamza Hamidi held a meeting with a number of officers to explain the procedures and standards that will govern the assessment process.
