President al-Sharaa discusses regional developments with Pakistani Prime Minister

Damascus, Mar.2 (SANA) – President Ahmad al-Sharaa held a telephone conversation on Monday with Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, on the latest developments in the region, particularly the recent escalation and its repercussions on security and stability.

The two sides affirmed their commitment to develop Syrian-Pakistani relations in areas of mutual interest, especially the economy and trade, and to strengthen coordination and consultation on main issues, in a way that serves the interests of both countries and contributes to supporting security and stability at the regional and international levels.

Over the past two days, President Ahmad al-Sharaa held a series of telephone conversations with a number of Arab leaders, during which he emphasized Syria’s firm position of rejecting any violation of the sovereignty of Arab states or targeting their security and stability under any pretext.

The contacts were made with the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, Emir of the State of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Emir of the State of Kuwait, Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, and President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Masoud Barzani.
