Vienna, Feb. 14 (SANA) – A charity bazaar was held in the Austrian capital, Vienna, to support families affected by recent rainstorms in camps in northern Syria, organized by Syrian and Palestinian associations, in cooperation with Austria-based Takaful Association.
The event was organized to support families in western rural Idlib and northwest Syria, following severe damage caused by recent rainstorms to displacement camps.
The bazaar carried both humanitarian and moral significance, reflecting solidarity in support of humanitarian causes, noting that all proceeds will be allocated to meeting the basic needs of affected families and easing their suffering.
For his part, Takaful Association campaign coordinator Tareq Al-Asali confirmed that all proceeds will be directed to affected families, explaining that the campaign is managed by Takaful as a licensed association in Austria and Syria, working on charitable, medical, and relief projects in northern Syria.
Al-Assali stressed that the initiative aligns with the association’s mission, affirming that Syrian associations and the Syrian community in Austria will continue supporting their people in Syria at humanitarian, medical, and service levels until displaced families return to their towns and villages.
Organizers concluded that such initiatives convey a humanitarian message that transcends borders and reflects solidarity among Arab communities abroad with those inside Syria, calling for continued support in light of the difficult conditions facing camps in northern Syria.
