Damascus, Jan. 29 (SANA) Syrian Minister of Agriculture Amjad Badr on Thursday discussed prospects for agricultural investment and ways to expand cooperation with Necat Tur, chief executive of Türkiye-based Eksim Holding, during talks at the ministry headquarters in Damascus.
Minister Badr stressed the ministry’s commitment to encouraging farm investment and providing necessary facilities to raise output and improve productivity, praising the interest shown by Turkish business leaders in investing across multiple sectors in Syria.
Minister Badr highlighted the importance of rehabilitating vast tracts of farmland in the eastern provinces, noting their vital role in meeting a large share of national food needs, particularly wheat, and said the regions offer strong potential for large-scale investment projects.
For his part, Tur outlined Eksim Holding’s principal areas of activity, especially in electricity generation and flour production, expressing the company’s readiness to invest in Syria in line with government plans and priorities.
Eksim Holding is among Türkiye’s leading industrial and investment groups, operating in strategic sectors including conventional and renewable power, food industries and flour milling, and is regarded as one of the country’s top producers and exporters of wheat flour, in addition to diversified ventures in other fields.
