Quneitra, Feb. 13 (SANA) Israeli forces entered the village of Ain Ziwan in southern Quneitra, southwestern Syria, on Friday and raided a local resident’s home.
A SANA reporter in Quneitra said a unit of six Humvees moved from western Tel al-Ahmar al-Gharbi toward Ain Ziwan, where troops raided and searched a resident’s home. Israeli forces remain deployed in the area, and the reason for the raid was not immediately clear.
On Thursday, an Israeli unit with seven military vehicles advanced along Crushers Road in northern Quneitra, set up a temporary checkpoint, searched passersby, and combed the surrounding area.
Israel has continued to violate the 1974 disengagement agreement through repeated incursions into southern Syria, assaults on civilians, raids, arrests, and land clearance.
Syria reiterates its longstanding demand for the withdrawal of occupying forces from its territory, declaring all Israeli actions in southern Syria null and void with no legal effect under international law. It also calls on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities, curb the actions of the occupying forces, and ensure their complete withdrawal.
