Quneitra, Feb. 10 (SANA) – Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday advanced into al-Mu‘allaqa village and Ghadir al-Bustan town in the southern countryside of Quneitra, southwestern Syria, a SANA reporter said.
The reporter in Quneitra said an Israeli force consisting of several military vehicles moved along the road linking al-Mu‘allaqa village and Ghadir al-Bustan town, where it set up a temporary checkpoint and prevented civilians and buses from passing.
He added that a bus carrying university students was prevented from continuing toward al-Salam City, the provincial center, before the force later withdrew from the area.
Israel continues its attacks and violations of the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement through incursions into southern Syria, assaults on civilians, raids, arrests, and land bulldozing.
Syria continues to demand the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from its territory, affirming that all measures taken by the occupation in southern Syria are null and void and carry no legal effect under international law. Syria also calls on the international community to assume its responsibilities, deter occupation practices, and compel Israel to fully withdraw from southern Syria.
