Raqqa, Feb. 9 (SANA) A humanitarian aid convoy consisting of 130 vehicles loaded with relief supplies from Raqqa province arrived in Idleb countryside on Monday to provide support to displaced people whose camps in the Kherbet al-Jouz area were damaged by floods that swept through the region two days ago.
The organizers of the initiative stated that the convoy was an urgent response from the people of Raqqa to alleviate the suffering of affected families. It includes shipments of basic necessities, in addition to emergency shelter supplies. They emphasized that this step reflects the spirit of solidarity among the Syrian people in the face of natural disasters.
Heavy rainfall across northern and western Syria on Saturday triggered severe flooding that swept away and submerged tents near seasonal waterways in camps around Kherbet al‑Jouz, prompting urgent evacuations and the opening of temporary shelters for displaced families
