Hasaka, Feb. 6 (SANA) A delegation from the Syrian Ministry of Defense, headed by Chief of Operations of the Syrian Arab Army Brig. Gen. Hamza al-Hamidi, conducted a field tour of several military sites in Hasaka province, accompanied by representatives of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
The Ministry of Defense said via its Telegram channel that the tour aims to consolidate unit deployment points and follow up on the implementation of the agreement concluded between the Syrian government and the SDF.
Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry delegation held a meeting in Hasaka city with SDF representatives to discuss procedures for integrating personnel into the military institution and implementing the remaining provisions of the agreement.
On January 30, the Syrian government announced a comprehensive ceasefire agreement with the SDF, which includes a phased integration of military and administrative forces, the entry of security forces into the centers of Hasakah and Qamishli cities, and the handover of all civilian and government institutions, as well as border crossings and outlets, to state authority.
